Frequently Asked Questions

General information

  • What should I wear?

The paths can get muddy, so swap your glass slippers for walking shoes or wellies. For the full experience, let your children come dressed as their favourite fairy-tale character. Do check the weather forecast before you set off, because even in Fairytale Land it can rain or snow.

  • How long is the walk?

The trail is around 2.5 km long and takes about 90 minutes. You can walk at your own pace.

  • Can I smoke?

Our smoke machines already take care of the magical atmosphere, so we don't need any help with that! The whole trail is non-smoking. You're welcome to smoke before or after the walk in the designated smoking areas. Please always use the ashtrays for your cigarette butts.

  • What if the weather is bad?

The fairy-tale walk goes ahead in rain or snow. Check the forecast beforehand and dress for the cold or wet. We can't offer refunds or cancellations because of bad weather. If the walk has to be called off for safety reasons, we'll let you know in good time and you can rebook your tickets for another date.

  • Can I bring a backpack?

Yes, you're welcome to bring a backpack or a large bag. Just bear in mind that you'll be carrying it for 2.5 km and about 90 minutes.

  • Is the trail wheelchair accessible?

Everyone is welcome in the fairy-tale forest, but wheelchair users can only do the walk with someone to assist them.

  • Can I bring a pushchair?

The fairy-tale walk is ideal for the whole family. We do recommend a sturdy all-terrain pushchair with wide wheels.

  • Can I eat during the walk?

Yes, you can have something to eat and drink at the rest stop.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a short lead at all times. The walk features special effects and flashing lights. You know your dog best, so please judge for yourself whether the walk is right for them. You'll also be walking among lots of other people, so if your dog doesn't cope well with crowds, it's best to leave them at home. Don't forget your poo bags.

  • What if I'm running late?

Please always arrive on time so the visit runs smoothly for everyone. Double-check your time slot beforehand and allow plenty of time for the journey.

  • Are there toilets?

Yes, at the start, at the finish and at the rest stop.

  • I've lost my ticket or confirmation email. What should I do?

Don't panic. Click here and enter your email address. You'll immediately receive an automatic email listing all your orders. Click on the order number to find your tickets and order details.

  • Is parking available for the event?

There is no dedicated parking area for the event. However, you can use the usual parking areas around the La Hulpe Castle, subject to availability.

  • Can I change the date or time of my booking?

You can request a change to your booking up to 7 days before your scheduled visit, subject to availability. Changes are no longer possible less than 7 days before your visit, for organisational reasons and to ensure the smooth management of bookings. Thank you for your understanding!
